Chances are that if you see a woman alone on a lonely road in a broad hat and with glowing eyes, you will do everything in your power to get away! That woman is most likely La Diablesse.
La Diablesse, or the Devil Woman, travels at nights on dark, lonely roads in search of her victims - who are usually men. She has eyes that look like burning coal and a deteriorating face that looks like a corpse. La Diablesse always wears a wide-brimmed hat and a long, beautiful dress, which she uses to cover her cloven foot dragging behind her when she walks.
Stories say she casts a spell on her victims with her beautiful singing and then leads them deep into the forest, in countries like Dominica, Grenada, and Trinidad, until they are totally lost and never to be found again.
